ちょっとした事を書いていきたいと思います。

昨日、そろばんの大会に参加しました。
Yesterday, I participated in an abacus competition.
最初は個人総合競技がありました。
掛け算、割り算、見取り算、見取り暗算。
掛け算、割り算は１０分で６０問解きます。
At first there was an individual all-around competition.
There are multiplication, division, count calculations in abacus, and count calculations with no use of abacus, and there are 60 multiplication and division questions in 10 minutes.
見取り算は、１０分で３０問。
見取り暗算は３分で３０問です。
The count calculation is 30 questions in 10 minutes. The mental calculation is 30 questions in 3 minutes.
掛け算種目で、委員の人が異様に大きな声で「よい、はじめ！！」と言ったので、私の心臓が大きくピョンと跳ねてしまい、最初の問題で焦りました。
During the multiplication, a member of the committee said in an unusually loud voice, "Okay, start!!" My heart skipped a beat, and I got nervous about the first problem.
ですが、全問できたのでほっとしました。
続く割り算、見取り算、見取り暗算でも全問解けました。
However, I was relieved that I was able to answer all the questions.
And I was able to solve all the questions in the subsequent division, calculation, and mental calculation.
次に、読み上げ暗算競技がありました。
私は読み上げ暗算が苦手です。
４桁から７桁の加算で間違ったので入賞でした。
Next, there was a hearing mental arithmetic competition.
I was not good at hearing and doing mental arithmetic.
I won only a little prize because I made a mistake in adding 4 to 7 digits.
そして、フラッシュ暗算競技が始まりました。
予選は５問中３問以上あっていれば突破です。満点で通りました。
３桁１０口３.３秒まで連続正解しました。３桁１５口３秒で負けました。
２位でした。私も２位になるとは思いもしませんでした。
And then the flash mental arithmetic began.
If you get at least 3 out of 5 questions in the preliminaries, you will pass. I passed with a perfect score.
I answered correctly for up to 3.3 seconds with 10 times 3-digit numbers. I lost in 3 digits, 15 times and 3 seconds.
I was in second place. I never expected to come in second place either.
お昼休憩になりました。
私はお昼休憩がある大会は初めてです。
ヌイグルミのチキンと一緒に食べました。

最後の種目別競技、読み上げ算になりました。
予選は１問間違いでしたが、７桁から１５けた１０口まで正解しましたが、途中の読み上げ委員の人が急に早く読み始めて、間違えました。
まだ残れるチャンスがあったのでがんばりました。
３位でした。
The final competition was reading arithmetic.
I got one question wrong in the preliminaries, but I got correct answers ranging from 7 digits to 15 digits, but the member of the reading committee suddenly started reading faster in the middle, so I made a mistake, but I still had a chance to stay, so I persevered.
I was in 3rd place.
休憩が終わった後、番外競技というものがありました。
Crypto（クリプト）というカードゲームで、５つのカードで式を作って１つの決まった数にするゲームです。
気分転換にはよかったですが、「なんでここまで計算しかやってへんのにまた計算問題だしてくんねん」と頭が痛くてイライラしました。
After the break, there was an extra competition.
Crypto is a card game where you create formulas using five cards to form a fixed number.
It was good for a change of pace, but I was annoyed and had a headache, thinking, "Why are they asking me more calculation problems when I've only done calculations so far?"
塾別対抗競技にも代表で参加しました。
塾の中で３人出場者を決めて、点数とスピードを競う競技です。
I also participated as a representative in the cram school competition.
It is a competition in which three participants are selected from the cram school and compete for score and speed.
今回は１６チームが集まりました。
掛け算、割り算、見取り算とあって点数とスピードを競う競技です。
各教室から代表３名を選びます。
This time, 16 teams gathered.

The teachers choose three representatives from each classroom.
掛け算、割り算、見取り算とあって、終わったら次の人に問題用紙を渡していき、最後の人が終わったと同時に紙を持ち上げて「はい」と言います。
リレーみたいなものでした。
There are multiplication, division, and counting calculations, and when you finish, you pass the question paper to the next person, and when the last person finishes, you lift the paper and say "I am done". It was like a relay.
最後は表彰式です。
フラッシュ暗算と読み上げ算は「ベスト１０」と書かれた盾をもらい、読み上げ暗算は入賞商品としてミニ加湿器をもらいました。
Now, the last part is the awards ceremony.
For flash mental arithmetic and reading arithmetic, I received a shield that said
"Best 10," and for reading mental arithmetic, I received a mini humidifier as a winning product.
また、個人総合競技の結果も出ました。
なんと......２位でした。ああっ！１５点差.....（泣）
個人成績表も配られたので、それを見ました。
掛け算、割り算、見取り暗算は満点でしたが、見取り算が...３問間違いでした。
見取り算や見取り暗算では、１問１０点もらえるので、大きいミスをしてしまいました。
ちなみに、掛け算と割り算は１問５点です。
来年は優勝するぞ！！オーッ！

I was also given an individual report card, so I looked at it.
I got a perfect score on multiplication, division, and mental arithmetic, but I got 3 questions wrong in mental arithmetic with abacus.
I made a big mistake because I get 10 points for each question in the calculations and mental calculations.
By the way, each question for multiplication and division is worth 5 points.
I will win 1st place next year! !
